The trip home from Texas was much faster than the trip to Texas, but bitter sweet! Chance cme home with us, and is now part of our family. We went to Augusta, KS and stayed with Jamie Smith at her great house. She was pleased to see Chance goign home with us! We may not have own the whole thing but we make people proud, and I was so impressed with my horse! My kids loved Texas and they really loved knowing Chance was coming home. Chance is now out with our other horses, and loving it. Turned a bit wild again he doesn’t really know what to think of how our horses run to us, and love to hang out by the house, you can see in his eyes he wants to be loved but yet his life of wild and free is still in his heart.
Talk about hearts, my heart grew from the experience of chance and I. I have learned that friends are rare and speical and that life can change faster than we can control. The summer made me grow and learn. The broken back that I got during my training time, made we see that I needed to change my life. I have done that and am proud to be 35 pounds lighter and still more to go! I want to be able to really enjoy the rides Chance and I have coming. We are applying for the Extreme Cowboy race with Craig Cameron. And hope we will be there doing better than a top 25 finish, we want to be in the top 4!!!
