Saying good bye- and good luck

Filed Under Mustang Training Blog |

As this time in my life has come so fast, and I have learned so much. I have learned who are my real true friends and who aren’t I have learned what real love is and what is not. I have learned what I can do and what I can NOT! I have learned to say no, and need help. I have learned to do lots on my own as well. And to many great clients and word of mouth, friends and so forth. I have found some GREAT homes for some of my horses.  I said good bye to Reba my red dun AQHA broodmare-in foal for 2009 to Chex, she is mom to many greats as well as a 2 year old AQHA smutty dun filly- Bob from the Tri-cities came to buy Reba and left with Kala too, they sell themselves I have always said. And then Emily Bushman of Union Oregon, she bought Pilgram a yearling Chex gelding and then loved him and came and took his full weanling brother-she now has two as well. Michelle Daniels came from Washington with her mom and her two daughters Shelby and the little one, they met Mickey Moose and Oliver, and love at first site took them home too. They now have two of the best geldings I have ever owned.  As well I found a home for two of my mom’s horses-Katie a 7 year old AQHA mare went with a client of Terri’s in Dallas Oregon. And then a dad of a 4-H kid in Washington took Buddy- a chex 2 year old and loves him. I love the calls and email on them. Most of all Chance- he as gone to a great home with Patricia in Grants Pass and is learning to trust someone other any me and to be loved by her too. It is hard for him. Mustangs don’t melt into new homes like my ranch raised horses. Anyway, I still have several others to sell so if you know anyone looking. We have two dun AQHA weanling stud colts, as well as a few broodmares, and I will sell my Gracie filly too. I have decided I need to down size.

Training, is slow I am working with one horse right now, and ready to get more into training, I have lots of lessons, and my lesson kids and adults ROCKS. They make it so much fun teaching them and they seem to love it. I love to teach and see them get and learn new things. My littlest rider is a natural talent and I can’t believe what will power and love for it she has. She loves it. I am proud of her and her parents for letting her do it. And then my sisters- the two little ones from wallowa those girls work so hard for me and yet have fun. I love to hear them enjoy their riding time. We play games and learn. The adults I work them hard but try to make it fun too. I try to let them enjoy their riding time as well not always work.

I started riding my horses, I am riding Parker and he is a dream. Someone really put some time into him. And then I am starting my very own Chex baby- WATCH out world I will be there to get you all on her! she is a knock out. I will soon be showing a Midnight Chex baby as well, so I am ready for my life back.

Charlie is still kicking, every morning he comes to the gates and stands and waits for me to let him into the barnyard for grain, he loves his grain, he makes a mess of the hay by Chex and then is ready to go back out. I love that ol horse.

George will soon be having a litter of puppies- jackabees! She looks like a marshmellow with toothpicks for legs. She is FAT!Poor little dog. She is due around Destiny’s birthday.

Destiny soon will be five- what a year has brought to her world. Jalyn is rocking in school, and the kids and I are doing great. We are getting on with life. Ready to get back to business. Send me your horses!
